Confidentiality Statement


  • Information provided to Employer-Employee.com is held in strict confidence accordingly to the standards set forth by the American Psychological Association and the National Employee Assistance Program.

  • Please note that e-mail sent to your place of employment is legally owned by your employer.  Also other employees and technical people who have access to your computer, may also have access to your e-mail logs.  To safeguard your privacy, do not store confidential information on your computer.

    Exceptions where confidentiality may not be maintained:

  • If someone is threatening to harm themselves, appropriate authorities and/or other helping professionals may need to be notified.

  • If someone is threatening to harm another person, appropriate authorities and/or other helping professions may need to be notified.

    If you are currently considering suicide or homicide, you should immediately contact your local police department or appropriate emergency medical services.


  • Psychologists are required by law to report suspected physical and sexual abuse of a minor. This includes any minor that may be at risk for abuse or has been physically or sexually abused in the past. It also includes someone who has abused children in the past, and may be a threat to children in the present. Appropriate authorities may include child protective agencies and the local police.

  • Records may be subpoenaed by U.S. courts if your records are involved in a court case in which your contact with Employer-Employee.com may be relevant. The appropriate steps will be taken to inform the court that your information is privileged, but courts do have the power to subpoena records. If you have concerns in this area, please contact your attorney prior to disclosing information to Employer-Employee.com

Service to Minors

  • Employer-Employee.com cannot provide counseling services to persons under the age of 14.  If you are between the ages of 14 and 17, signed parental consent is necessary before you can obtain services.
